We emerged from a rough Spring to have a semblamce of summer fun and post-COVID recovery. Our local stats on COVID occurrences are sharply reduced. For that, all in Truro should be congratulated!
At the same time, waste water tests recently are a harbinger of a potential increase. And while most folks are vaccinated, risk remains for those who are:
- infected but may be asymptomatic (yet an unwitting carrier)
- immune-suppressed (at still at high risk for more serious effects)
- and at risk by age (seniors and unvaccinated children)
Vaccines are available for free in Barnstable County to everyone over 6 months of age. The new booster shots are also available for this who have been vaccinated already.
We urge everyone to see if it is right for them and obtain the booster if it is.
