Pamet Restoration Project Announced | Community Input Needed

On March 27, the Town of Truro announced that a project to restore the Pamet River tidal flow and to discuss related plans for Truro Center Road in Downtown Truro.

The breach of the barrier dunes at Ballston Beach several years ago has caused a re-naturalization of the Pamet Basin from the ocean and on to the bay.  The continuing naturalization process is important to the Pamet’s ecosystem.

Truro is now tackling the impact of and the opportunities created by this process  and has announced three meeting seeking community input.  The first is on short-notice:  April 1.

Try to attend, learn, stay informed and stay engaged. The Pamet River –  and especially Pamet Harbor – is so central to Truro’s beauty, community and culture.  Making sure this magnificent gem is taken care of is worth the effort.
