Truro Closes Town Offices As Of March 16 | 4 PM | COVID-19 Precaution

At 6:05 PM today, Truro posted the folloiwng announcement, quoted from the Town website at this link.  The announcement reads as follows:

In an effort to minimize the spread of the Coronavirus and in the interest of public health and safety, all Truro Town Buildings will be closed to the public effective 4 pm on Monday, March 16, 2020.  The School will provide any information about the status of Truro Central School. Police, Fire and Public Works and Transfer Station operations will continue as normal. The Swap Shop will be closed effective immediately. All Council on Aging, Library and Recreation programs are suspended until further notice. Town Staff will be available via email and telephone. Look for more details on specific programs on Monday. We will provide regular updates as information becomes available on the website and ALERTruro. Per the CDC recommendations, please wash your hands with soap and water frequently for at least 20 seconds and maintain social distancing (6 feet) to protect yourself and your neighbors.
